MDPOD team members led by Md. Antaj Ali-Director of MDPOD participated in the day observation program & discussion session was held at Manikganj DC Hall Room. The program was chaired by Jowardar Mohammad Mohiuddin, Director of Manikganj Social Service Department and Manikganj DC Mohammad Abdul Lotif was present as chief guest on the program. Through the program 20 wheelchairs and checks of donation were handed over to disabled persons and their families by DC of Mankganj.
MDPOD was established with the initiative of Md. Antaj Ali (current Director) and a group of PwD in 2003 in Manikganj district of Bangladesh. It has been working for positive changes to reduce negligence, discrimination, barrier, increase accessibility and to establish rights of PwDs’ socio-economic development, self-reliant through mainstreaming.
